On February 18–19 at the Yasna ethnocomplex, in the residence of the Chuvash Khel Muchi — the most musical Father Frost in Russia, who plays ancient instruments and summons snow and blizzards with his staff — the festival of national Father Frosts takes place. Guests can celebrate, play with five winter wizards at once, and join their entertaining workshops. The Mordovian Yakshamo Atya, Bashkir Kysh Babay, Mariy Yushto Kugyza, Udmurt Tol Babay — all arrive with cheerful fairy-tale characters. And with gifts. Guests may stay overnight in guest houses, steam in a traditional village bathhouse, and sit by the campfire with healing herbal tea. For active recreation there are skis and skates; for cold-water enthusiasts — an ice hole and well-water dousing. The food is real, homemade, hearty, and very tasty. We will also announce the results of the online contest “Yasna Music” among 14 regions of the Volga Federal District with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
